Reliability Engineer – Los Angeles Refinery #1055
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Salary: 100 – 130k plus profit share and COLA
You will provide day to day technical engineering support to Production with objective of elevating reliability performance of rotating and fixed mechanical equipment. A main focus will be applying mechanical technical expertise to identify and eliminate equipment threats and developing long-term strategies that sustain reliability growth. Major areas of responsibility will include all rotating equipment within the assigned Production Area as well as fixed mechanical equipment and development of small projects.
Required skills include:
- Proven ability to perform troubleshooting, performance testing and failure analysis on various types of rotating equipment.
- Condition monitoring experience desirable (i.e. data analysis, vibration analysis, Beta analysis, lube oil analysis, etc.).
- Working knowledge of rotating equipment repairs standards and industry recommended practices.
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams to identify and resolve equipment bad actors, equipment threats and ensure compliance with procedures and work processes.
- Ability to facilitate change effectively and work collaboratively within cross-functional team using solid verbal, written & presentation skills. Uses such skills to mentor and educate team members.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
BS ME with 5 + years of industry experience are a minimum. You must have experience in a petrochemical or refinery facility.
