Mechanical Integrity Lead #1724

Location: Houston, TX
Salary: 100 – 120k plus small profit share, no relocation

 

The role of the Mechanical Integrity Lead is to develop, implement, and manage a Mechanical Integrity program that will assure and improve the quality, integrity, reliability and service life of plant equipment and systems.  Understand and implement applicable company, government and industry codes and standards so that plant equipment and systems are designed, built, operated and maintained safely.  Monitor compliance of outside service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a solid Mechanical Integrity Program driving continuous improvement.
  • Continuous evaluation of inspection scopes and frequencies based upon inspection results and other techniques such as Risk Based Inspection.
  • Maintain list of PSM covered equipment.
  • Manage outage inspection activities (scope development, cost, scheduling, and timely completion of reports and repair scopes).
  • Evaluate equipment fitness for service against applicable industry and plant standards.
  • Develop repair scope and initiate INFOR process for equipment deficiencies identified during the inspection process.
  • Maintain list of deficiencies and raise proper awareness to ensure timely completion of temporary and permanent repairs.
  • Evaluate design of new equipment against applicable industry and company standards.
  • Develop applicable Mechanical Integrity procedures.
  • Perform RCFA analysis on stationary equipment failures.
  • Manage, obtain and maintain equipment data and systems information including manufacturer’s, engineering, design, fabrication, inspection, testing and maintenance repairs records that will provide current and accurate information for training, planning, procurement, evaluation and analysis.
  • Manage, set-up, and update equipment in INFOR Technical Objects.  Establish links for equipment in INFOR to reports, inspection prep scopes and other useful information.


 

Requirements

  • Minimum  B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of Mechanical Integrity experience including budget and team responsibilities.
  • 10+ years of substantial petro chemical maintenance experience.
  • Certified in APR 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector, API 570 Piping Inspector, and API 653 Above Ground Atmospheric Vessel Inspector.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Management of 3rd party contractors.  Ability to generate a scope of work, write a purchase requisition, and oversee field work performed by 3rd party contractors.
  • Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
