	<p>Responsibilities</p>

	<p>• Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.</p>

	<p>• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.</p>

	<p>• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.</p>

	<p>• Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using drafting tools or computer-assisted design (<span class="caps">CAD</span>) or drafting equipment and software.</p>

	<p>The Asset Team Reliability Engineer will provide engineering support for operations and maintenance in assigned units. Selected candidate will be a key contributor to the overall safety and profitability operations in a major refinery unit. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. </p>

	<p><strong>Responsibilities </strong><br />
<ul>
	<li>Supports the maintenance and operations work process (<span class="caps">MOWP</span>) by attending Asset Team meetings such as the Daily Morning Meeting, Scheduling, etc. </li>
	<li>Maintains awareness of Cost Improvement and Reliability projects.  Provides the Area Reliability Engineer with scope and justification for same.  Provides expertise for installation and startup. </li>
	<li>Provides troubleshooting as part of the notification and reliability improvement process. </li>
	<li>Performs technical assessments as part of the Mechanical Integrity (MI) deferral process. </li>
	<li>Reviews and approves MI recommendations.  Performs Level 1 Fitness for Service Calculations in support of MI.</li>
	<li>Supports maintenance by resolving equipment issues and developing scope during the WO planning process.</li>
	<li>Will focus on attainment of key process indicators such as mean time between failure, mean time to repair and pump backlog. </li>
	<li>Will complete one non-facilitated failure analysis per month.  Will participate in facilitated investigations as needed.</li>
	<li>Will provide leadership for resolving Bad Actor lists for the area.  Will also focus on those issues in the Site Top Ten and the Asset Team Top Ten.</li>
	<li>Leads the Management of Change process for mechanically centered changes and may provide technical review based on experience level.</li>
	<li>Audits preventive maintenance and repair work to provide technical assurance.</li>
	<li>Certified as a Level 2 Vibration Analyst.  Will use this knowledge to identify and mitigate causes of high vibration.</li>
	<li>Will support turnaround activity as needed.</li><br />

	<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field</li>
	<li>Minimum of 2 years related experience in a refining or petrochemical plant environment</li>

	<li>Monitoring monthly production losses and maintenance costs to identify top discipline specific problems.  Solving high priority reliability issues by focusing on discipline specific reliability improvements.</li>
	<li>Maintaining an opportunity list for area and periodically calibrating with Asset Team leadership. </li>

	<p>The primary responsibilities of the Senior Engineer is to be the site technical lead for fixed equipment (tanks, vessels &amp; piping) and inspections; to develop long term reliability plans for fixed equipment; and to manage capital projects generated from long term fixed equipment reliability plans.  The Senior Engineer will also support the Learning &amp; Development team in the development of training programs, manage the Site Technical Practices for fixed equipment and inspections, and drive continuous improvement in work execution processes.</p>

	<p> <strong>Responsibilities </strong><br />
<ul>
	<li>Technical authority for fixed equipment (tanks, vessels, and piping) and inspections. <strong></strong></li>
	<li>Develop long term reliability plans for fixed equipment that are aligned with the site mission.<strong></strong></li>
	<li>Manage capital projects generated from long term reliability plans using the Capital Value Process. Capital projects managed by the <span class="caps">SDE</span> are typically replacement in kind, less than $250k total installed cost and the scope is limited to the engineer’s discipline.<strong></strong></li>
	<li>Support the development of maintenance repair procedures related to fixed equipment. Ensure that the procedures are revised as required.<strong></strong></li>
	<li>Identify gaps and drive continuous improvement in the engineering work processes.<strong></strong></li>
	<li>Monitor fixed equipment performance and operation; identify opportunities for improvement and incorporate into long term reliability plans.<strong></strong></li>
	<li>Assist the Unit Maintenance Engineer (<span class="caps">UME</span>) with technical support for routine fixed equipment maintenance work as needed.<strong></strong></li>
